Bob founded Palladian in 1987 to focus on capital raising, transaction structuring and financing; as well as real estate advisory and consulting services. In that span, Mr. Woods has led over $5 billion of equity placements on behalf of over 25 clients in all areas of real estate investment. Prior to founding Palladian, Mr. Woods worked at the Trammel Crow Company, as well as Hines Interests. Mr. Woods has served as an adjunct professor for graduate-level courses at Stanford University, teaching the renowned real estate development course. He is currently serving in similar capacities at both MIT and Duke University.
Mr. Woods has a BA in Economics and Accounting, MS in Construction Engineering, MS in Architectural Engineering, and Engineering Degree with thesis in Real Estate Acquisitions from Stanford University, and MBA, PhD candidate in Finance. He has also served as a Director of Gencorp, a NYSE listed defense contractor.
Ryan Kelly Chief Operating Officer
Ryan is a Principal with Palladian Capital Advisors. He previously served as President of a mixed-use real estate development company based in Orange County, CA. In this capacity, he had responsibility for day-to-day executive decision-making, and general management of more than 40 employees. He was also integrally involved in securing financing and project management of a five-star level St. Regis Resort and Residence development project in Deer Valley, as well as similar endeavors for mixed-use resort projects in Park City, Sun Valley and Palm Springs.
Ryan has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in start-up, acquisition, growth and re-capitalization capital in a variety of industries. He also brings to the organization deep corporate finance, investment, and strategic experience from his time as an Associate with the Global Restructuring Group of UBS Warburg in San Francisco, and as an Analyst with Bel Air Investment Advisors in Los Angeles. Ryan is multi-lingual, and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
John Lang Executive Managing Director
With thirty-six years of experience as a real estate investor, lender, and investment banker, John has completed over $8.5 billion in transactions across North America involving all property types including acquisitions, mortgage debt, secured and unsecured revolving term credit facilities, leveraged leases, equity joint ventures, sales, and sale/leasebacks. John has completed over $3 billion in assignments as advisor to Hines. He served as a Senior Managing Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Structured Finance Group, as a Senior Managing Director with Bear Stearns and Company, and as CEO and partner in private real estate development and brokerage firms.
John has a track record in sourcing and acquiring distressed property and restructuring mortgage debt. Notable transactions include the acquisition and re‐sale of a 1.2 million SF office tower in foreclosure and the acquisition out of bankruptcy of a 1.6 million SF office tower which he subsequently leased to 98% occupancy and sold. A graduate of Yale University (B.A.) and the Harvard School of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
Zach Woods Managing Director - Head of Placement
Zach Woods joined Palladian Capital Advisors in 2010 and currently holds the position of Managing Director and Head of Equity Placement. Within the company, Zach is responsible for leading the equity placement team and overseeing the equity placement process. A key aspect of his role involves establishing and nurturing strategic relationships between investors and clients. Additionally, Zach plays a crucial role in supervising the in-house underwriting activities. He has been instrumental in developing and managing Palladian's specialized CRM database, which houses information on more than 5,000 investors. This proprietary system empowers Palladian to monitor various investment parameters for each individual investor in real time.
Throughout his career, Zach has successfully raised over $750 million in equity for a range of commercial real estate acquisitions, developments, and portfolio recapitalizations. His skill set includes extensive proficiency in property underwriting using tools like ARGUS DCF and Excel. He is adept at conducting market studies that provide a solid foundation for clients' investment strategies, and he is experienced in crafting comprehensive equity placement memorandums. Before joining Palladian Capital Advisors, Zach gained valuable experience as an analyst at Lingerfelt Companies in Richmond, VA. In this role, he assessed suburban office, central business district (CBD) office, and medical office buildings of varying sizes, ranging from 25,000 RSF to over 1.2 million RSF.
Zach graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance
